About the Douglas Pallen Legacy Foundation
Background
The Douglas Pallen Legacy Foundation was founded in honor of Douglas Arthur Pallen. Douglas passed away in 2020 after battling a lifelong terminal illness and physical disabilities. While this resulted in over 30 surgeries and years spent in the hospital, Douglas loved and lived life to the fullest. Douglas enjoyed trading baseball cards, golfing, fishing, and playing Pokemon with his nieces and nephews. Douglas’ infectious laugh and smile filled every room with joy and his positivity and optimism inspired many. Douglas’ long-lasting impact he left on the world generated the dream of helping and saving the lives of children who are battling a terminal illness and/or physical disabilities.
Mission
The Douglas Pallen Legacy Foundation aids children with terminal illnesses and physical disabilities. This 501(c)(3) will fund various initiatives including children’s hospitals, research centers, adaptive recreational areas, support programs, and more. This foundation not only ensures Douglas’ legacy lives on, but it aims to improve the lives of many others, which Douglas would have loved to help do himself.
